Not much to report sports fans other then it appears the mains power cable has been run/chased and our neighbour has installed the retaining wall between our blocks as he had raised his foundation height prior to building.
Now it's just a waiting game for the frames to arrive and then the next big invoice will be due!

Out of the Ground
Finally all the prayers to the rain God's has paid off and our slab was poured yesterday.
Now it should be a wait of about a week for the slab to cure then into framing. So once again it's fingers crossed for the weather to hold out.

Turning Earth
Today our site was scheduled for peiring and with it, the million dollar question "Are we under or over?". After an anxious wait we were soon advised that out of our estimated 70 lineal metres we managed to scrape in at only 54 lineal metres which was a huge relief!
After a good chat with our Slab Supervisor James and the concreting foreman we were told our drainage may be in tomorrow with the slab most likely to be poured by Wednesday. Fingers crossed it good weather for early next week.

Pegged, Cut and preparing to Pier
We got our first phone call from our Slab Supervisor James to introduce himself and inform us that our block had been pegged, was due to be cut Thursday and would be piered on Friday. True to his word we soon found the block had been pegged
Our fencing was up and the block was cut on Thursday in preparation for piering on Friday
So with that our countdown to financial poorness begins!
On other matters, I wish to welcome Suzz to our blog, don't be shy we know your reading our blog in your work time!
We are still waiting to hear from Beacon Lighting and it has now been over two weeks since our visit to them. If it is this difficult to get a quote on lighting, how hard will it be to actually place an order? After their fantastic service on the day we are really disappointed with the follow up since we had two entire houses to fit out.
